Corruption is a Global Problem and a Common Enemies

Opini, suaradewata.com- Every December 9th, we are celebrating international anti corruption day.  The important thing from these celebrate is how to maintain resistance spirits against corruption, because it is a global problems and should be become a common enemies to be eradicated with the strongest possible legal sanctions until death penalties for corruptor, because actually corruptor and terroris are “twin brothers” which tarnished and degrading human values.

Corruption is a common enemies which eradicated from the roots. Yet, its all depend on law enforcement from each countries. Unfortunetely, not all countries are able to eradicated from its roots, and some of countries are the most corrupt country of the world. 

According to Wonderlist (2015), a data from Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) is reported the rank of 10 the most corrupt country of the world are Somalia. Somalia is the most corrupt country of the world, because in these country the government isn’t never running efective, humanity charity always often misused by Somalia’s official. North Korea is the second corrupt country of the world under Somalia. In these country, the sounds which against government will be punished. Human rights enforcement in North Korea also worst. After North Korea, Afghanistan has fought after United States invention to these country since 2001. In this country, bureaucracy still isn’t well operation so it has a vulnerability to corrupt. Sudan was hit by the potracted conflict. Actually, Sudan is a country which rich with natural resources, yet the uncompatable bureaucracy makes their society has been struggled under poverty line.

Myanmar is a member of ASEAN country which is still struggling human rights implementation. Since military took these country, the transparancy of budgeting must improve. Uzbekistan is a country rich in natural resources. Yet, the government in these country prohibiting the private sector to cultivate. Unfortunately, the worst management natural resources makes these country has a more poverty society. Turkmenistan is a Uni Soviet fractional country in Middle Asia have bad bureaucracy. Besides that, the level of press freedom is also on low level it makes difficult to creating transparancy. Iraq is still fight to stabilize their hometown security from terrorist threats. A billion dollar from United States giving prosperity for these country isn’t materialized. It seems besides terrorism, Iraq had been fought against corruption. Venezuela is a country rich in national resources specially gasoline in Latin America zone, yet its doesn’t make prosperity for their society and corruption is still happen in bureaucracy sector. Haiti was wracked with strongest earth quake in 2010, assistance fund from various countries come to Haiti. Yet, it isn’t still beneficiary for people’s because all of assistance is corrupted by the government official. In Haiti, applies the principle of everything is a money”.

Corruption in South Sudan Selatan was been a diseases since 2004, when these region has a power to reach gain from gasoline sell. Since separate from Sudan in 2011, a country which have territory like Texas in United States has number five gasoline reserves in Africa, including gold and another resources. Yet, ironically South Sudan is the poorest and the slowest country. Conflict between tribes always happen in South Sudah since 2011.

Now, Transparency International is welding campaign "unmask the Corrupt ". The goal is to create transparency and expose acts of corruption that had been veiled. The anti-corruption organization called on governments of developed countries to make an open list of companies operating in the country . To be clear anyone who control the company and reap the benefits. " None of us wants to fly with planes that do not register passengers. But we allow corporations conducting its activities secret," said Cobus de Swardt, Executive Director of Transparency International.The countries considered the most clean were Denmark, New Zealand, Finland, Sweden and Norway. Germany ranks 12, Japan 15 and the US 17.

What a lesson ?

Learning from corruption rampant in several countries, actually rampant and still happening corruption in several countries its triggered with several factors such as the government bureaucracy isn’t capable to do its task, blunt political communication between government and society, untransparance budgeting, muzzled press freedom, the fragility of governance system, the low capacity of goverment official, controll weakness and blurred restriction between state and rulling political party.

According to previous mapping, indeen its right if corruptor should be declared as common enemies, even should be brave statement which corruptor is more cruel and sadistic than terrorist. How are your opinion ?
